MHA-Certified Heater Masons
The MHA certification process requires at least 40 hours of labor across three separate masonry heater builds, conducted under the direct supervision of a currently certified MHA member. Within every five years after initial certification, the certified mason must accrue continuing education units, or other relevant professional credentials deemed equivalent by the MHA.
By hiring an MHA-Certified builder, you can be confident your masonry heater will be built to the highest possible standard of quality. By training for and receiving MHA Certification, members know how to build masonry heaters in almost any home while conforming to ASTM E1602 and other requirements.
